A native of Austin, Texas, the “Music Capital of the World,” John landed his first music industry gig at the age of 20 managing Will Hustle, Dok Holiday, and PLA of Set for Life Records. He booked local and regional shows opening for international hip hop stars including Trae, Devin the Dude, and Grammy Nominee Paul Wall.

Debra Russell, certified Business Coach and founder of Artist’s EDGE (http://Artists-EDGE.com) will join Trigger 2012 as panelist. She works with professionals in the Arts and Entertainment Industry to help shape their success in their chosen field.  As business coach, workshop leader and keynote speaker, Debra delivers innovative programs for entertainment industry trade conferences internationally.

This year we proudly present two well-known and reputable American music industry legends to join our conference among other fantastic speakers/panelists. Seymour Stein (discoverer and record label manager for Madonna as well as the Ramones, Talking Heads and The Pretenders and others) and Richard Gottehrer (songwriter, producer and founder of both the ground-breaking digital music company The Orchard as classic Sire Records – which he founded together with Stein) will come to Borlänge and will be hosted by Music Industry editor Claes Olson.
